Argan & Chamomile Body Butter for Soft & Silky Skin

I named this recipe - "Chamomile Soft & Silky Argan Body Butter", why? You should try this recipe and make your own and you'll agree with me how silky soft this feels on skin!
Chamomile Soft & Silky Body Butter
It's an awesome experience I had with this creamy body butter, I didn’t expect it to be so silky to be honest. Ofcourse, before I made this recipe, I thought about a body butter that will suit even the most sensitive skin, yet will soothe very dry skin. So, this combination of Chamomile Water and Moroccan Argan Oil will promise you a skin soothing & loving body crème you’ll never want to miss a day without it.

Below are my pride ingredients, they're the star of this creamy body butter - well it's not just those, I also used other ingredients to nourish the skin like Grapeseed oil. It's very light and easily absorbed by the skin and this makes it ideal as a base oil. It contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties and linoleic acid, which is great for promoting skin health.

Jojoba oil is also one of the ingredients which is known to closely resembles human sebum, when applied to the skin it can help to reduce sebum production. Our skin produces natural 'sebum' to waterproof and moisturise the skin. When Jojoba oil is applied, the skin registers that sufficient oil is present therefore less sebum is released making skin less oily. Jojoba oil is also naturally rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and E, all of which are incredibly nourishing for the skin.

There you go, so here are the stars of this recipe-

Our two amazing & skin loving ingredients:
Moroccan Argan Oil
        *  Argan oil is a wonderful moisturizer that  is rich in fatty acids, better than most moisturizers available.
*  Totally  natural, making it safe for all ages and all skin types.
*  This oil has antimicrobial properties, making it great for the skin and lesions.
*  This product is easily absorbable by the skin. Because it does not contain any cholesterol, it does not leave any residue, more importantly, it regulates sebum production to keep the skin’s natural oils at a healthy level.
*  Pregnant women will love this product. When applied regularly, it will reduce and prevent stretch marks from appearing on the skin’s surface.
*  Argan oil regulates and keeps the pH balance of the skin normal. This keeps the skin protected from sun exposure, smoking, pollution, etc. Antioxidants found in argan oil are vital in effectively protecting skin cells from UV light. The vitamin E found in argan oil will protect the epidermal layers of the skin and this will protect skin from various stages of UV light damage and can effectively hydrate skin damaged by UV light from the sun.
*  It reduces skin inflammation and helps in curing several skin disorders such as eczema and psoriasis. The oil’s properties protect skin from allergens that may cause itchiness and solves skin dryness by keeping skin moisturized, it soothes the skin and alleviates itchiness.
*  It is also effective in helping to eliminate scars produced by chicken pox and burns.
Pure Chamomile Water
Chamomile Water  is soothing, relaxing and calming for the skin with its herbal healing and aromatic properties.  An intensely therapeutic flower water/hydrolate  that has a calming influence on mind and body. Suitable for all skin types, particularly dry, sensitive and irritated skin.

INGREDIENTS to Prepare:
We’re making 300g Batch

Phase A (Water Phase)
Chamomile Water                 37.4%              112.2g
(or use 50/50 Distilled & Chamomile Water)
Glycerin                                 5%                   15g
(with my Glycerin, I actually used my ‘PiPuPa Extracts
because it contains toning ingredients to even out my skin
& encourage skin renewal, besides it has glycerin in it)
*If you want to add other skin loving liquids like Hydrolised
Silk Protein or Oat water or milk, just remember to
            deduct from your water %.
Sodium Carbomer                1.5%                4.5g
            or Sodium Polyacrilate
(this is our THICKENER, a pre-neutralized gellant and
thickener, does not need any heating and we will add
this to our liquid phase) - is a pre-neutralized synthetic
polymer, in a fine powder, that can be used to thicken,
            suspend and stabilize cosmetic formulations.

Phase B (Oil Phase)
Moroccan ARGAN OIL                                  6%                   18g
Grapeseed Oil                                                  5%                   15g
Jojoba                                                              4%                   12g
Dry Flo or Silk or Talc                                     1%-2%            3g
(dry flo is not an oil but, we will add this
here because it will lessen any greasy/oily feel
                                    when using this body butter)
Additives:
Preservative (I used Phenoxyethanol)                0.6%                1.8g
(Phenoxyethanol or Optiphen Plus or Acnibio
Use any Paraben Free & Formaldehyde Free
Preservation system that is applicable for pH 6
            or below)
Fragrance/Essential Oil                                     0.5%                1.5g
(0.4%) Sweet Orange Essential Oil                               1.20g
            (0.01%) Vanilla Oil                                                       0.30g
                        Hydrolized Wheat Protein                                 2%                   6g

Enough excitements & let's start our project!
Step 1  Prepare all your ingredients, weigh them out and make sure you sterilized or had applied alcohol to the container you will use for this project.

Using a glass container, add all Phase A liquid/water ingredients. Then slowly sprinkle sodium carbomer to the liquids. Stir with a spatula until all lumps are suspended into the liquids. Keep stirring until the gel is homogenous, our gallant will absorb all the liquids and for a thick mass of gel.
Chamomile Water + Glycerin + Sodium Carbomer (on the side)

sprinkle and stir to absorb the water...

Step 2    Here below you’ll see me adding the oil phase (Phase B) ingredients to Phase A.Then, started adding Dry Flo while using an immersion blender (stick blender).

Stir the oils to the gelled liquids.
Stir in Dry Flo (or use Dri Silc, Talc or Silk Mica)
Step 3        Stir Dri Silc using the stick blender. Then, add your additives one by one while stick blending and mixing with a spatula from time to time. Start with the preservatives, then the essential oils and hydrolized wheat protein last. Keep stick blending & stirring until fully emulsified. You’re done!
Incorporating Dri Silc to the cream.
Alternate stirring using immersion blender (stick blender) and a spatula.
Here I added the essential oils, keep stirring.
Blending the essential oils to emulsify with the cream.
...and here's our Chamomile Soft & Silky Argan Body Butter!  Ready to moisturize & pamper your skin!
Step 4        Here's the best part of this recipe tutorial - enjoy your body butter!
